Medina Valley ISD Invites Community to Celebrate Opening of New Creek View High School at July 29 Ribbon Cutting
As Medina Valley ISD continues to experience record enrollment growth, one of the district's most significant investments in education is ready to welcome the community. On Wednesday, July 29, at 6 p.m., residents are invited to attend the Creek View High School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, celebrating the opening of the district's newest high school campus at 308 County Road 381, San Antonio, TX 78253.
The event offers families, students, staff, and community members an opportunity to get a first look inside the new campus before the school begins serving students. More than simply opening another building, the ceremony marks a major step in Medina Valley ISD's long-term efforts to accommodate rapid residential growth while expanding educational opportunities across the district.
A New High School Built for Medina Valley ISD's Future
Creek View High School represents one of the largest school construction projects in Medina Valley ISD history.
According to state project filings, construction included approximately 435,000 square feet of new educational space at an estimated combined cost of $261.6 million across two construction packages.
The primary construction package, valued at approximately $239.6 million, included:
- A new 435,000-square-foot high school building
- Athletic fields
- A football stadium
- Expanded stadium seating
- New concession facilities
- Additional restrooms
- Expanded parking
- A new press box
- Ticketing facilities
- Two multi-purpose athletic buildings
A separate $22 million site development package provided the foundation for the campus through major infrastructure improvements, including:
- Site preparation
- Foundation piers
- Bus access and transportation infrastructure
- Utility work supporting the new campus
Construction began in November 2023 and reached substantial completion in June 2026, positioning the campus to welcome its inaugural class for the upcoming school year.
Supporting a Fast-Growing Community
For families throughout Medina Valley ISD, the opening of Creek View High School reflects more than the addition of classrooms. It represents the district's continued response to one of the fastest-growing regions in the San Antonio area.
New neighborhoods, expanding residential development, and increasing enrollment have created demand for additional educational facilities designed to maintain learning environments while supporting students closer to home.
The addition of Creek View High School is expected to help balance enrollment between the district's high schools while providing modern instructional spaces, expanded career and technical education opportunities, athletic facilities, and areas designed for student collaboration.
Community Invited to Celebrate
Medina Valley ISD is encouraging residents from across the district to attend the ribbon cutting and celebrate this milestone together.
